Peak District Large Group Accommodation
Welcome to Hamps Barn, a lovely barn conversion based in the Peak District, in the heart of the country. At Hamps Barn we can host up to 20 guests in 9 bedrooms, and with a large living room and dining room for everyone to get-together in.
We are lucky enough to be based in the stunning countryside with walks straight from the front door and a number of local famous hiking sites a short drive away. There is so much to do in the local area that you and your guests are sure to have a wonderful time. From Peak Wildlife Park, or Alton Towers, both only a 20 minute ride away, to great cycling spots or historic towns such as buxton and bakewell, all close by.
Hamps Barn can be rented out individually for 20 guests or can be rented combined with Hamps Hall for 40 guests.
Space for all
At Hamps Barn we are lucky enough to have not one but two huge (close to 50 foot long) rooms for socilising. One being the living room (above) with comfy chesterfield sofas (these are not allowed to be moved) and a huge 65 inch TV. It’s the perfect spot to party away or enjoy a movie night. The other is the dining room which can sit up to 64 guests (we lay it out for 48), which can also be used as a secondary party room with lots of space to dance. This has also been used as the main meeting room for corporate events.
In short at Hamps Barn we also have:
– 9 Bedrooms (2 doubles, 5 twins, 2 triples)
– 7 Bath/ Shower rooms (including an accessible friendly one)
– Private large garden with atmospheric outdoor lighting and a BBQ
Please note external speakers are strictly forbidden (as we have our own great set up that DJ’s can connect to).
Comfy Nights sleep
We understand the importance of a comfortable nights sleep, so at Hamps you’ll find 9 uniquely decorated bedrooms with comfy mattresses and thick duvets.
Along with this there are 7 bath or shower rooms with lots of hot water, and each guest receives a bath and hand towel.
You’ll also find that we have kept a number of the local features in place such as the exposed wooden beams to keep in tradition of the local Peak District countryside feel.
Lights and Star nights
Being based in the countryside on a clear night you have the most amazing views of the stars above. Whats perfect is to sit back with an evening meal on the benches in the Hamps Barn garden, with the fairy lights above you, to sit back and enjoy a bottle of wine with your loved ones. There is a second part to the garden as-well with grass on it and further fairy lights, to enjoy some more special moments.
5 person Hot Tub Included. And if you wanted to rent out another one we charge £150 for the second one.
Please note: If there is a guest staying the night before, the time to drain, re-fill and re-heat means it will take some extra hours after your arrival time that it is fully heated. The weather also has a large impact on this. This could be up to 23:00 at night on check in day. The maximum temperature the hot tub reaches is 38 degrees and will automatically stay at this level once reached (we/ you will not be able to change from this temperature). Unfortunately we can not control the time it takes to heat up to speed this up. We are afraid that also children under 5 years old are not allowed in the hot tub.
To the front of Hamps Barn we have set up a nice sitting area also, and if you wanted more space to host some activities such as archery or lazor clay pigeon shooting you could use the field next door.
Accessible friendly
We want to be able to invite as many people as possible to Hamps, so have put in a downstairs accessible bathroom next a twin room (right).
There are also 3 other downstairs bedrooms, and 2 other downstairs bathroom (but not accessible).
It is possible for a wheelchair to access the kitchen, dining room, and living room, but please read our accessibility statement for door sizes as we can’t accept large wheelchairs due to the door sizes.
